ABOUT ME

Born and raised in North Carolina, I moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, after high school to pursue my education. I earned my bachelor's degree before continuing my studies at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), where I began a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. Later, I furthered my expertise by obtaining a master's degree in Educational Technology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

My teaching career began at Gardner STEM (now Oaklawn STEM Magnet), where I worked as a kindergarten teacher for four years. During that time, I took on multiple leadership roles, including serving on the district PPC committee, being part of the School Guiding Coalition, and leading as the Kindergarten Team Lead.

Seeking new challenges, I transitioned to Hot Springs World Class High School as the EAST Facilitator. In this role, I have guided students through innovative, technology-driven projects that emphasize problem-solving and community engagement. Under my leadership, our EAST program earned its first-ever Founders Award—the first time any EAST program in our district had achieved this recognition.

With a strong passion for education, technology, and student empowerment, I would like to advance my career and strive to create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for success beyond the classroom.

Work samples & a Few Career Highlights
